The convergence of emerging therapies, advances in digital tools like artificial intelligence (AI), and the rapid growth of the biopharmaceutical industry is forcing organizations to reassess their approaches to talent acquisition among intense competition. In recent years, the challenge of securing talent has intensified. The industry's access to talent across 22 countries was assessed for the talent pool pillar of Cytiva's research regarding biopharma resilience. This analysis relied on insights gathered from a survey of 1250 executives within the pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical sectors. The resultant index scores for each country reflect the robustness of the industry within those regions.

In this year's assessment, external data was incorporated to provide a more comprehensive view of the industry's landscape. This investigation evaluates the efficacy of academic institutions in nurturing a strong pipeline of biopharma talent, as well as the flexibility of labor regulations in facilitating access to international talent for biopharma firms.
