Demonstrating Millipore Express® SHR Mycoplasma Clearance
6/9/2021
Millipore Express® SHR filters are an option for biomanufacturers looking for a higher level of microbial risk reduction than sterilizing-grade filters. These filters contain a 0.1 μm polyethersulfone (PES) sterilizing membrane and are designed to efficiently remove mycoplasma contaminants from cell culture media.

The Effect Of Mixing On Protein Using Mobius® Mixers
6/7/2021
To address broad biomanufacturing mixing applications, we offer two distinct lines of single-use mixers with common attributes. Depending on individual manufacturing set-ups and organizations, mixing equipment may have to be used without distinction for all applications. This application note explores the suitability of the different Mobius® mixer types for various model feeds.

Cellvento® 4CHO Fed-batch Medium
4/26/2021
Different CHO hosts are used routinely to develop such biologics and are combined with several expression system like the dhfr, the UCOE or the glutamine synthetase (GS) system. The platform described in this process guidance was developed to grow a broad range of CHO cells. The production medium supports initial cell growth and production while the highly concentrated, neutral pH feed is added to replenish depleted nutrients required for cellular function and to maintain and extend the production phase in fed-batch mode.

Bubble Point Testing With Integritest® 5
11/12/2020
During a bubble point test, pressure decay measurements are taken at increasing applied transmembrane pressures to map the filter’s integrity profile. The Integritest® line of automated integrity testing instruments identifies optimum pressures at which to take measurements based on test parameters and ongoing readings, which reduces the number of measurements needed to reliably map the filters’ profile and return an accurate result.

Redesigned Filter Capsule Improves Final Filtration Assembly Design And Operation
11/3/2020
In final filtration and filling operations, where maintaining sterility is critical to assuring drug safety for patients, sterilized single-use assemblies offer many advantages. This application note describes testing performed to assess volume loss in SURF assemblies and shows how both assembly design and filtration operations can be adapted to minimize volume and product loss in the system.
